More Than 20 Years Of Serving Colorado Families And Businesses In Times Of Need

Biography

Tracy joined Chayet & Danzo in 2021 as a law clerk. Ms. Brooks was admitted to the Colorado Bar in October 2022. She works in the areas of estate planning and elder law. Her interest in elder law began when she took Marco D. Chayet and Tamara E. Trujillo's class in elder law during her second year of law school. The same year, Tracy served as a student attorney at the University of Colorado's Juvenile and Family Law Clinic. As a student attorney, she served as Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in Dependency and Neglect cases and represented clients in a variety of other family law matters.

During law school, Tracy participated in several public interest programs. She served as Co-President, then President of Colorado Law's If/When/How Chapter, and participated on the board of CU Law's Juvenile and Family Law Club. Additionally, she interned with an immigration non-profit to help refugee and asylee clients navigate the United States' complex visa system.

Tracy is passionate about family-related legal matters, particularly those that impact some of the most vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly. Recognizing the importance of family-however you choose to define it-Tracy's affection for elder law grew from her understanding that each case represents a unique set of personalities, legal issues, challenges, and goals.

When she's not working, Tracy enjoys snowboarding, traveling, spending time with her weird dog,and connecting with friends and family.
