Single Individuals:

  • Income limit is $1,869.00 per month or less. Interest income, veterans' benefits, annuity payments, dividends, pensions (including Civil Service), and Social Security are all part of income. The Medicare Part B insurance premium (up to $93.50 for 2007), which is automatically deducted from Social Security benefits, is included as part of income.
  • The asset limit for non-exempt items is $2,000 or less.

•  Married Couples:

  • The community spouse if entitled to retain assets as a "community spouse resource allowance" or "CSRA." The CRSA is $101,640.00.
  • The community spouse is also permitted to retain all of his/her monthly income.
