Laura Mathews' practice is focused on the areas of complex probate litigation, estate planning, domestic partnership estate planning, bankruptcy, elder law, probate administration with complicated financial transactions, and corporate transactions. Prior to and during law school, Ms. Mathews worked for three large financial institutions where she gained over ten years of extensive experience dealing with complex compliance issues, anti-money laundering, white collar crime, complex federal regulations, multiple legal issues related to investor accounts and large transactions. Ms. Mathews is a member of the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the CBA Elder Law Section, and the Arapahoe County Bar Association. Ms. Mathews received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, College of Law where she was active in the HEAR Program, which focuses on developing peer mediation programs in high schools across the metro Denver area. Ms. Mathews received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She grew up in Leadville, Colorado, where she graduated from Lake County High School, where she nurtured her outgoing personality as President of the Thespian Society. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado. Ms. Mathews is admitted to the state bar of Colorado, as well as the bar of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
